Some things you should concider when first deciding to buy a home are:

1. Finding the perfect Realtor - your realtor will be your negociator, real estate knowlege base, city guide and so much more. You want to work with someone you can be honest with and trust. The realtor you choose will be responisble for alerting you to next steps and keeping your paperwork clean and legal.

2. Get Pre-Approved - Without a pre-approval from an accredited bank very few sellers will take you seriously. Also, it is good to know what a realistic and comfortable price is for you when looking for a home. Most pre-approvals are free and you do not need to go with the lender that pre-approves you. See my financing section for more info >>

3. Location Location Location - After you know your target price, figure out what neighborhood suits your needs best and will bring a good investment for your property. A good realtor can put you in touch with the current neighborhood trends. And make suggestions based on your personal prefrences.
